"Living Local" Karma Yoga Weekend Retreat
August 26 - 29, 2021 (Families welcome!)
Immerse yourself in a long weekend together where we will discover, celebrate, and transform through practices of Karma Yoga & Yoga Ecology. All Yogic activities will be centered around how to connect and communicate with the Land around us, and how we can practice and live harmoniously as conscious co-creators. All meals will be harvested and prepared from ingredients from the Ishtadev Niwas Ashram & Farm with a few staples brought in from within a radius of 150km.
Throughout the time you are in retreat you’ll stand on your head, sing from your heart, uncover your soul’s gold, probe at mindful questions that need asking, and listen deeply to nature’s heart for answers.
Previous Experience Requirements:
This retreat is an "all levels" retreat and does not require any previous formal Yoga training. Participants should be open, curious and genuinely desire to know more about Yogic teachings.
"I really loved all the techniques shared in this retreat. Amazingly simple, yet completely profound in how they helped us to get to new depths of self reflection. I loved how being in Nature rather inside combined with the practices really helped to recharge my batteries. The intimacy of the group really allowed us to be honest with and learn from each other. I consider this retreat to be “the best” I have ever experienced.
"This is what living Yoga is all about. The food is divine! And to learn about each element of how and why our actions connect with the Land is critical for remembrance and reconnection. To share this all with my family was pretty special too. Thank you 'Niwas.
